After leaving Niah caves
we headed east and left Malaysia to stop for one day in
the tiny but rich sultanate of Brunei.
If there's one thing in Brunei's capital, Bandar Seri
Begawan, that everybody visiting there will take a photo of, it's
the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque. On the left is a classic postcard view of it at sunset, on
the right a daytime view.
You don't need to walk very far before finding out that there are some
not-so-rich people in Brunei as well, although as the second picture on the right
shows they are busy clearing at least some of the slums from the immediate vicinity
of the city center.
